When you contact us to book an appointment, we will request registration details including your name, date of birth, home address, contact numbers and email. This ensures that our Admin Team can contact you.

You will also be required to complete a new patient information form, which will be emailed to you to fill out before your appointment.

If you do not have email access, you can complete the form in person at reception upon arrival.

A GP appointment lasts up to 30 minutes but longer appointments can be arranged upon request, or you can book a double appointment if needed.

Some conditions may require more time and If the issue is complex or there are multiple concerns to address, we recommend booking an extended consultation.

Consulting with Nu You Medical will not impact your relationship with your registered GP. You can continue using our services while remaining with your registered GP and we highly recommend you stay registered with your Primary Care GP while accessing our services. We can share relevant information with your regular GP but we will always seek your consent before doing so. We prioritise confidentiality and adhere to data protection laws and the medical confidentiality guidelines set by the General Medical Council (GMC.) We encourage all new patients to provide their Primary Care GP details when booking their appointment with us.

Private healthcare and the NHS operate separately, so your NHS GP may need to be informed if you receive private care. Without sharing this information, there may be gaps in your NHS GP's understanding of your health. It's important to keep your NHS GP informed and updated. 

Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time are non-refundable. If you still require a consultation, a new appointment will need to be booked and paid for. Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice are allowed, but please be aware that a £5 administration fee will be deducted from any refund. Missed appointments will not be refunded. 

To join a video call, you’ll first need to ensure you have a device with a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection. Prior to your appointment, you will receive a link or invitation to the video call via email or text. At the scheduled time, simply click the link provided and follow any prompts to join the call. You may be asked to grant permission for the device to use your camera and microphone. Make sure you’re in a quiet, well-lit space for the consultation and have any necessary documents or information on hand. If you encounter any technical issues, please contact us by phone for assistance before your appointment begins.
